Michael Williams Pledges Opposition To Newly Filed Legislation To Ban Bump Stocks In Georgia

Michael Williams released the following statement in response to Representative Mary Margaret Oliver’s anti-Second Amendment legislation.

“My prediction was correct. While my opponents sat idly, I warned that Georgia Democrats would push legislation to ban bump stocks.

“I will stop this state ban. When I previously brought attention to this issue, my opponents mocked us, called it a ‘stunt,’ and diminished the views of millions of Second Amendment supporters. After liberals attack and smear me and the coast is clear, my opponents will issue their usual statements with no action. They quietly follow behind in our shadow as we take the corporate media hit-jobs and later claim to have stood with conservatives.

“Georgia needs a governor who is already leading. My war against Representative Oliver’s unconstitutional legislation will make all Democrats think twice before attempting to take away gun rights from Georgia citizens.”
